Hi, my name is Susan. Foolproof Proofreading is based in Nacogdoches, Texas, the Oldest Town in Texas.
As our work together takes place electronically, I’m able to work with clients locally and throughout the world. Please feel free to drop me a line to request rates/turnaround information or to request services.
I spent many years working as a trial attorney before my husband and I decided to move back home to Texas. Rather than start over in the legal field, I decided to start my home-based business proofreading legal documents. My proofreading is based on Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, NCRA guidelines, and the work of Margie Wakeman Wells, a certified court reporting instructor and author of Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation.
As a qualified proofreader, I specialize in transcript proofreading for court reporters and I enjoy affiliating with reporters to produce exceptional work! With a keen eye for detail, I look for misspelled and transposed words, formatting inconsistencies and errors, homophones, punctuation, speaker names and bylines, faulty references, and dropped words. Moreover, I read for content, conduct light research, and spell-check all documents.
